It has been a strange and beautiful few days. As I sit here looking at the numbers—the thousands of new visitors to this site and the sudden surge of eyes on my work—my thoughts keep returning to the people who were already here.
When I started this blog, I wanted a place that wasn’t dictated by a character limit or a “POV” hook. I wanted a space to be an author, a creator, and most importantly, a person. To the 475 of you who have subscribed to this list over the last few months, I want to say thank you.
You’ve stayed through the quiet weeks and the experimental posts. You’ve opened the emails even when the world outside was loud.
Seeing my name climb to the top of Google results today was a milestone I didn’t expect to hit this quickly. But a ranking is just a number. The real “record setting” part of this journey isn’t the 300,000 views on a tweet—it’s the fact that when I have something to say, there are people like you ready to listen.
I’ve spent a lot of time recently thinking about “layers.” About the versions of ourselves we show to the world and the versions we keep for the people who truly matter. This blog has always been my favorite layer. It’s where I get to be a writer first, and everything else second.
I don’t know exactly where this momentum will take us next, but I know that having this community as an anchor makes the ride a lot less daunting. Whether you’ve been here for seven months or seven days, thank you for giving my words a home.
The journey is just beginning, and I’m so glad you’re part of it.
