  Today, I want to share the story of my friend David Moore, a truly selfless person who has spent his entire life helping others. As a teacher, David educated and inspired hundreds of students, sharing lessons of history and compassion. Beyond the classroom, he’s tirelessly fought for equality, founding the Pennsylvania Equality Project to protect the rights of LGBTQ+ people and advocating for affordable housing to help countless families stay off the streets.
  
  Despite dedicating his life to helping others, David now finds himself facing an incredibly difficult situation. Severe medical conditions and mounting bills have left him and his family on the brink of losing their home. Even in this crisis, David continues to put others first, giving away money he needs for his own medications to help friends and clients in need.
  
  Now, it’s our turn to help David. If you’re able, please consider donating to his GoFundMe campaign—every dollar helps. If you can’t donate, simply sharing his story could make all the difference. • Silence is Complicity

  

  Every day it grows harder to remain apolitical. At a certain point, silence stops being neutral—it becomes complicity. And right now, silence isn’t an option.
  
  I refuse to quietly witness the erosion of our fundamental freedoms. I refuse to stand by while the most vulnerable among us—the poor, the marginalized, the voiceless—are targeted and demonized. This isn’t the America we believe in. It isn’t the country we strive to be.
  
  America’s greatness was never about slogans, blind patriotism, or misplaced faith. It was always about compassion, justice, and unity. It was about defending the right of the accused to a fair trial, no matter how uncomfortable the circumstances. It was about protecting the dignity and rights of every single human being—not because they earned it, but simply because they’re human.
  
  If speaking up means losing followers, so be it. I stand firmly behind the belief that empathy and decency shouldn’t be conditional. If you cannot find it in yourself to feel compassion for others, regardless of labels or differences, then perhaps this isn’t the right place for you.
  
  When we stand together, shoulder to shoulder, embracing empathy and kindness, we rise together. This unity is our true strength—not division, not fear, not the desire to see others kneel at our feet.
  
  We are better than what’s happening right now. Let’s remember who we truly are, and let’s never stop fighting to become who we know we can be.

• To my Starr-gazers

  

  Even though I may never meet you face to face, or hear your voice, or share a moment in real time, I love you. Not in the way that requires knowing every detail of your life, but in the way that recognizes something deeper—our shared existence, our quiet struggles, and the invisible threads that bind us together in this vast and unpredictable world. 
  
  Life isn’t always fair. It can be cruel, unforgiving, and heavier than words can carry. I know that weight, just as you do. And while our journeys may be different, our pain, our resilience, our will to keep moving forward—it unites us. In a way that words sometimes can’t express, I feel you. And I suffer beside you, just as I hope alongside you. 
  
  I want you to know, without question, that I believe in you. A hundred percent. Even on the days when you don’t believe in yourself, I do. Even when the world feels overwhelming, and you wonder if you’re strong enough to face it, I know you are. And I know that no matter how small the steps you take, they matter. Celebrate them. Every single one. Because each moment you choose to keep going is a victory, and I see it. 
  
  It is a gift—a true gift—that you are here, walking this earth with me. That we share the same air, the same sun, the same sky, no matter how far apart we are. Our footsteps may not cross, but they leave marks on the same world, and that is something sacred. We are bound together not by proximity, but by the shared experience of being human—of hurting, healing, falling, rising, and continuing on. 
  
  So walk with me. Breathe with me. Live with me. Not just today, not just in the easy moments, but in the ones that feel impossible, too. In the darkness and the light, in the uncertainty and the hope. Because tomorrow isn’t promised, but as long as we are here, we will love this life together. Hand in hand. Heart to heart. Moment by moment.

  Hope is the quiet force that whispers, “Not yet,” when the world shouts, “Give up.” It’s the glimmer in the darkest night, the unshakable belief that tomorrow holds promise, even if today feels unbearable. Hope is not naive—it’s defiant. It stares failure in the face and says, “This isn’t how my story ends.” It’s the fire in your chest that refuses to be extinguished, the belief that even broken wings can find the strength to fly again.
  
  When life feels like a storm, hope is your anchor, keeping you grounded as the winds rage. It’s the voice reminding you that every season of hardship eventually gives way to spring. Hope doesn’t demand certainty; it thrives in uncertainty. It says, “I don’t know what’s coming, but I trust it will be good.”
  
  You may fall a hundred times, but hope insists on helping you rise the hundred and first. It’s the courage to take the next step, even when the path is unclear. It’s knowing that no matter how shattered the pieces of your life feel, they can still come together to create something beautiful.
  
  So hold on to hope. Cling to it with everything you have. Because hope isn’t just a feeling—it’s a lifeline. It’s the spark that lights revolutions, the seed from which dreams grow, and the reason humanity endures. The world may break you, but hope is the superglue of the soul, piecing you back together. And as long as there’s hope, there’s a chance for something extraordinary.
