For this Pride creator feature, I’m highlighting Jaden Cornelious, a singer, storyteller, author, host, and creative supporter whose work is rooted in authenticity, kindness, and helping other artists find their light.

Originally from London and now living in the mountains of Mexico, Jaden has spent decades building a life in music and performance. He first found success as a pop star in England in the 1990s as part of the group B-YOND, signed to BMG, and has gone on to perform thousands of shows around the world. Today, he continues to sing regularly, release music, and create space for other artists through his online shows and creative platforms.

A Life in Music and Storytelling
Jaden’s creative work moves across several worlds. He is a singer, a children’s book author, and the host of several shows, including The Jaden Show, where he speaks with creative people from around the world. He also hosts Book Read, a show where authors can share readings from their books, and Coming Out, where people are invited to share their coming out stories.

For Jaden, these platforms are more than just shows. They are a way of giving back to the creative community. After experiencing how difficult it can be to find support as an artist, he wanted to create spaces where other creative people could feel encouraged, welcomed, and seen.
The Mission Behind the Work
The message that runs through Jaden’s work is simple but powerful: be your authentic self. He does not believe in labels, boxes, or pigeonholes. Instead, he encourages people to live their truth, be kind, be nurturing, and support one another.

In his own words, creatives are “the light bringers,” the people who can turn darkness into light. That belief sits at the heart of everything he does, from music to interviews to storytelling. In a world that can feel increasingly chaotic, Jaden’s work is a reminder that creativity can be a form of connection, healing, and hope.

This Pride Month, let’s keep celebrating queer creators who not only make art, but also make room for others. Jaden’s work is a reminder that authenticity matters, kindness matters, and sometimes the most powerful thing a creator can do is help someone else feel less alone.
