It’s almost 8:00 PM on a Thursday. Usually, this is the time I’d be winding down, scrolling through comments, maybe planning out the weekend. But today? Today was a gauntlet.
I missed my usual “Thriving Thursday” morning post because, honestly, I was too busy actually surviving the day to post about thriving in it.
Social media has a way of flattening everything into a highlight reel. You see the merch drops (Pitchers and Catchers, let’s go! ⚾️), the viral reels, and the polished photos. What you don’t see is the war room behind the scenes. You don’t see the hours spent fighting off scammers trying to prey on this community. You don’t see the energy it takes to stand your ground when the internet tries to twist your words or question your integrity.
I look at these photos we took recently—leaning against a cold concrete wall, looking tired but focused—and I realize they capture the vibe of today perfectly.
Thriving isn’t always about high energy.
Sometimes, we think “thriving” means jumping out of bed at 5 AM with a smile, crushing a workout, and laughing through the day. But I’m learning that real growth happens in the messy middle.
Thriving is:
Holding the line: Protecting the people in this community from the fakes and the noise.
Staying soft: Keeping your heart open even when people try to take advantage of it.
Putting in the work: Launching the Varsity League collection not just to sell shirts, but to build something we can all wear like a uniform.
I’m exhausted tonight, I won’t lie. But I’m also incredibly proud.
I’m proud that we built a space where “integrity” isn’t just a buzzword—it’s the rule.
I’m proud that when the noise gets loud, we get quieter and more focused. And I’m proud that despite everything, we are still here, still growing, and still the best-dressed team in the league.
If your Thursday felt heavy, or if you felt like you were fighting battles no one else could see—I see you.
The weekend is coming. The work is done. Time to rest, recover, and get ready for the next inning.
