Sometimes the stars just align. Today felt like the perfect realization of what “Wellness Wednesday” is supposed to mean: movement, connection, and a genuine pause.
I started the day by getting up early to tackle my class requirements, which, honestly, felt like the first big win of the day. Getting that mental hurdle out of the way set the tone.

After wrapping up the academic stuff, I headed straight to the gym. I put the weights down and focused entirely on the Functional Strength routine (pushups, pullups, controlled barbell curls). It wasn’t about hitting a PR; it was about mindful movement and listening to my body, which desperately needed that form check after the viral push earlier this week. It felt grounded, restorative, and honest.

But the real reward came in the evening. Since I didn’t have to work today, I got to spend the entire evening just laughing and hanging out with friends. That social connection—that shared time—is just as crucial to my recovery as the post-workout stretching. It’s a reminder that wellness isn’t just about what you lift or what you eat; it’s about who you share the quiet moments with.
It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle, but today taught me the value of earning the break, and then fully appreciating the break once it arrives.
Hope you all found a moment of stillness and connection today too.
Shine Bright,
Zachary Starr
