It’s Monday, which means it is time to officially switch gears. If you caught my last post, you know we had an absolutely incredible weekend unplugging, getting lost in the woods, and definitely indulging a little bit. I am a huge advocate for taking time off to recharge. But when Monday morning rolls around, I am an even bigger believer in the hard reset.

For me, that reset always starts right here in the kitchen. Back at the beginning of the year, I made a promise to myself to build a concrete, actionable plan to eat healthier, and these Monday mornings are the ultimate test of that commitment. It is so incredibly easy to let lazy weekend habits bleed into the workweek. But choosing to start the day with a solid, nutrient-dense green smoothie sets the tone for every other decision I will make today.

Let’s be completely real for a second—does it taste like a chocolate milkshake? No, it definitely doesn’t. But motivation isn’t always about doing what is easy or comfortable; it is about doing what is necessary. Whether I am sitting down for a marathon writing session to crank out new chapters, studying, or prepping to go burn off some energy at the gym, I need fuel. I need energy that doesn’t end in a massive, mid-afternoon sugar crash. Getting those greens in right away has become a non-negotiable part of my routine.

And look, I’m not going to pretend the physical payoff isn’t a great bonus. But those results aren’t built on restrictive, miserable diets or punishing yourself for having fun over the weekend. They are built on simple consistency. They are built on waking up on a Monday morning, choosing the healthier option, and showing up for yourself even when you’d rather still be in bed. It’s about holding yourself accountable to the promises you made to yourself when you set your goals.
New week, clean slate. Take that extra ten minutes today to make a proper breakfast, drink a glass of water, and get your body moving. You owe it to yourself to feel your absolute best as we tackle this week.
Over to you:
What is your number one, non-negotiable goal for this week? Are we focusing on dialing in our nutrition, getting back into the gym, or just surviving the inbox? Let’s hype each other up and hold each other accountable in the comments below! 👇
